This is a wool challis scarf made by the venerable firm Liberty of London.  The scarf features a fox hunting pattern in colours of green, brown, teal, red, dropped-out white and black against a royal blue background.  The scarf has a checked stitching in it.  I’ve shown the scarf photographed from both sides.

Age: most likely 1940s as it has an older cloth label that reads “Liberty of London Made in England” 

Size: 25 1/2” square

Condition: It is in very good condition with only some very slight piling, very minor, and a very slight perfume scent that would come out with a dry cleaning.

This is an older Liberty silk scarf - not easy to find nice examples of 40s Liberty, so a great acquisition for the Liberty collector!
